About us

Our Mission

At Kaiga Convention, our mission is to create an immersive experience where Anime, Pop Culture, Gaming, Cosplay, and Entertainment converge. We are committed to continuous improvement, actively listening to feedback, and prioritizing the needs of our community. Honesty, Art and Kindness are at the core of our values, and we deeply appreciate the collective effort that brings this event to life. Together, we strive to cultivate an environment that fosters creativity, embraces kindness, and celebrates the power of art in uniting individuals.

Where we began

Kaiga Convention has a humble beginning rooted in the passion and resilience of a small team of local artists. It all started when an interstate event fell through, and in response, this dedicated group stepped up to create a pop-up artist alley. Inspired by the overwhelming response and eager to provide a larger event, they embarked on the journey to create something even bigger. The inaugural event in November 2021 at Claremont Showgrounds exceeded our expectations, attracting a highly successful turnout - we weren't ready for it! Building on that success, Kaiga Convention returned annually at Perth Convention & Exhibition Center. This incredible journey showcases our commitment to growth, community, and the vibrant celebration of art in all its forms.

Our Values

Kaiga Convention is dedicated to being inclusive and welcoming to all members of the LGBTQ+ community. We strive to create an environment where individuals can express themselves freely, without fear of discrimination or prejudice. Additionally, we are committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of minors by implementing robust measures to protect them to the best of our ability.

KaiCon cherishes diversity and inclusivity while upholding a strong moral code and standard. While we aim to provide an accepting space, and we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all attendees, we kindly remind everyone that expressions or behaviours that are morally objectionable or harmful will not be tolerated.

We deeply care about the well-being and inclusivity of all attendees, including those with mental illness and mental disabilities. We are committed to creating an environment that is understanding, supportive, and accessible to everyone. We strive to implement measures that accommodate various needs, ensuring that individuals with disabilities can fully enjoy and participate in the event. By fostering an atmosphere of empathy and inclusiveness, we aim to make Kaiga Convention a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to fully engage in the festivities.
